Hello, and welcome to La-Di-Da Nubians.Where my husband, Justin, and I breed, raise and show dairy goats. Justin has Lamanchas and a few Katahdin hair sheep under My Time Farm. We are located in western Washington state. After spending thirty plus years in the horse industry I was looking for a change that would inabled me to stay involved with animals but maybe wasnt quite so hard on my body. Justin had raised goats as a kid in Montana and he is responsible for introducing me to them.

My goal is to have a production based herd, strong in breed type. A goat that milks well, has an outstanding disposition, and is competitive in the show ring. At some point in the future I also want to close my herd. And do LA and DHIA yearly.

I don’t chase show ring “trends” and I use the word consistency often. With an eye to breeding "up" to my ideal. There is no such thing as the perfect goat. But I am always trying to improve. From nose to tail there are very specific things I am looking for. In the head they should show good breed character. It should sit on a clean throat and a long, swan-like neck that blends smoothly into a tight sharp shoulder. A strong back with plenty of width across the rump. Open ribbing with plenty of body capacity. Very well attached udders that have excellent texture, well defined teats that milk out with ease. And of course the foundation, strong, straight feet and legs with plenty of room between the hocks. A animal that stands the test of time and will be productive into there later years.
